Recipes: Simple Turkey Wraps

Otherwise fondly known as, Baby Turkey Burrito :)

This is actually something I've seen my mom do for a long time, as she's been gluten-free for at least the last third of my lifespan. I'm not sure if this is even allowed to be called a "recipe," but I just wanted to give an idea of a really quick, healthy, easy, and nutritious lunch or snack. The ingredients are easy to keep around and might already be on your grocery list. I love to buy fresh whole produce (rather than pre-packaged), and the same goes with meat. Seriously--make the dudes behind the deli counter your new best friends. It's usually cheaper and much more fresh & delicious to buy freshly sliced meat rather than the pre-packaged stuff shrink-wrapped in plastic and chemicals.

head of any type of leafy green (the darker the better)
thinly sliced meat, such as turkey or ham
dijon mustard

~Separate, wash and pat dry leaves of lettuce. Don't cut them, however do snap off the large white part at the bottoms if you wish.

~Stack meat on top of lettuce, and spread mustard on top of meat. You can also include cheese if you wish, I've done that as well and it's delicious (however, less healthy).

~Tuck the side of the lettuce leaf into itself and start rolling it up like a sleeping bag or something

Bebe turkey burrito!!

Enjoy!
